Marzieh Saeidi

Marzieh Saeidi has an extensive background in the technology industry, with various positions held over the years. Marzieh currently works at Synthesia as an NLP Research Lead, where they began in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Facebook as a Research Scientist from August 2018 to January 2023, focusing on integrity-related problems and detecting misinformation. Marzieh also served as a Research Scientist at Bloomsbury AI from January 2018 to August 2018 and as an R&D NLP and Machine Learning Engineer at Gluru in 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Developer at SunGard from July 2008 to September 2011 and as a Software Engineer at Factset Research Systems from December 2006 to June 2008.

Marzieh Saeidi obtained an MRes/PhD in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning from University College London between 2011 and 2016. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc in Engineering with Finance from King's College London from 2009 to 2011.
