Urban Marovt

Urban Marovt has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities. Urban started their career in 2014 as an Android Developer at D·Labs. In 2015, they worked as a Web Developer at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer and Information Science, gaining experience in Angular.js, Java EE, and Neo4j.

Moving on, in 2016, Urban worked as a Web Developer at Sunesis d.o.o. and as a Javascript Developer at Povio Labs. In 2017, they joined 1Home for KNX and Loxone and held the position of Head of Integrations, where they focused on building integrations with Smart Home APIs and Smart assistants. Urban later became the Head of Product, responsible for product discovery and strategy.

In 2020, Urban joined Kamino d.o.o. as a Software Architect, working on the GlobaliD platform's Wallet aspect, integrating with Uphold wallet and the Apto credit card system. Additionally, they played a key role in designing the onboarding process and introducing additional features.

Currently, Urban is working at Synthesia, starting as a Full Stack Engineer in 2020 and then being promoted to Engineering Lead in 2022. Further details of their responsibilities at Synthesia are not provided.

Urban Marovt obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana in 2016. Later, they completed a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, from 2016 to 2018. In 2016, they also received a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates.
