Corinne Sathoff

Senior Research Associate at Synthetic Genomics

Corinne Sathoff has a diverse work experience in the scientific research field. Corinne started their career in 2009 as a Volunteer Aide at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, where they incorporated field data and compiled archives for ongoing research projects. In 2014, they joined the Scripps Institution of Oceanography as an Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant, where they collaborated on various research projects related to microalgae cultivation and analysis. Corinne then progressed to the role of Staff Research Associate I, where they executed laboratory research projects and performed tasks such as algal growth experiments, analysis of growth rate and lipid content, and fluorescence microscopy. In 2019, Corinne joined Viridos as a Research Associate II, before being promoted to Senior Research Associate in 2022. Corinne continues to contribute their expertise in the field of research at Viridos.

Corinne Sathoff began their education in 2011 at UC San Diego, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography. Corinne completed their undergraduate studies in 2015. In 2014, they had the opportunity to participate in a Semester Abroad program at The University of Queensland, focusing on Marine and Terrestrial Ecology.

Their pursuit of academic excellence extended further as they enrolled at Point Loma Nazarene University in 2019 to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Leadership. Corinne successfully completed their graduate studies in 2020.
