Maiko Ouyang has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. From 2020, Maiko has been working as a Research Associate at Viridos, where they are involved in the upstream process development of algal-based biofuels. Their responsibilities include media preparation, algal culture maintenance, and conducting high-throughput experiments. They also calibrate, maintain, and monitor experimental assays to ensure reproducibility and reliability.
Prior to this, Maiko served in the USS Makin Island (LHD 8) from 2008 to 2013. They started as an Electrician's Mate, Petty Officer 3rd Class and later became a Petty Officer 2nd Class.
