Ben Irwin

Ben Irwin is an experienced General Counsel specializing in M&A and corporate law, recognized for delivering strategic projects and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. They began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at DLA Piper and later served as Solicitor and Associate, focusing on corporate finance and private equity. Ben held prominent legal roles at UBM plc, including Head of Legal for M&A and Corporate Projects, where they managed significant initiatives such as the £4bn public takeover by Informa Plc. Most recently, Ben was General Counsel for Hydrogen Technologies and Battery Materials at Johnson Matthey, leading legal and compliance efforts during critical business phases. They are currently pursuing BSc Hons in Physics and PgDL and LPC in Law at The University of Manchester and Nottingham Law School, respectively.
