Rolf Keltjens

Rolf Keltjens is an experienced professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Director of API Technology and Program Manager for Drug Substance at Synthon since December 2000. Keltjens oversees all Drug Substance Research and Development activities, develops control strategies, collaborates with various departments, and leads continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to this role, Keltjens was the Head of API Research, managing an innovative team and contributing scientific expertise to multiple projects. Keltjens began a career in research as a Project Leader in Chemical R&D, focusing on generic small molecule projects and patent filing. Keltjens holds a PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen, where investigations centered on synthesizing β-lactam antibiotics. Academic qualifications include a master's degree in Chemistry from Radboud University and early education from St. Thomascollege Venlo. Keltjens has contributed to scientific literature through a PhD thesis, a book, and several papers.
