Marco Pimentel

Marco Pimentel is an experienced professional in human resources and sustainability, currently serving as the People and Sustainability Manager at Syrah Resources Ltd since November 2016. Marco has a proven track record in implementing Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) strategies, managing competitive remuneration frameworks, and enhancing employee relations. Previous roles at Syrah include People and Community Relations Manager and Acting General Manager of Balama Graphite Operations. Marco has also held HR positions at Vale, Absa Bank Moçambique, and CBE Southern Africa, and is a board member of DCH Africa, an organization for HR professionals. Marco holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Organisational Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from the University of Cape Town.
