Rémy Chabin

Rémy CHABIN has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Rémy currently serves as the Head of Software and Data Engineering at Syroco, where they lead innovative projects in the transportation and energy sectors.

Prior to their current role, Rémy worked as the Head of Engineering - Insurance at Ornikar, where they managed a team responsible for the motor-insurance business unit. Rémy successfully scaled the team from 2 to 12 developers and implemented hiring and onboarding processes. Rémy also established engineering practices and contributed to the overall culture and processes of the company.

Before joining Ornikar, Rémy was the Backend lead on BlaBlaCar Daily at BlaBlaCar. Rémy played a crucial role in developing various features of the commute-dedicated application and scaling the infrastructure to support increased traffic. Rémy also worked as a Backend engineer at Less, a ride-sharing application that was acquired by BlaBlaCar.

Rémy's earlier experience includes working as a Backend engineer at Groupe STADLINE, where they developed a SAAS gym management software, and as a ScrumMaster at Voyages-sncf.com, where they contributed to a strategic project in rail travel. Rémy also spent several years as a Frontend development manager at MUNIC, overseeing a team and implementing Agile methodologies.
