James Theuerkauf has had a varied career, beginning in 2012 when they were President of the UCL Economics and Finance Society. James then interned at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan in 2012, where they worked in the Investment Banking Division and IB Risk, and was offered a place on the Summer Analyst Programme in 2013. In 2014 they were a Research Analyst for Professor Roberto Mangabeira Unger at Harvard University, where they developed an alternative development model for Brazil's Northeast. In 2015 they worked as a Marketing & Finance at Google, and in 2016 they worked as an Investment Associate, Associate, and Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Finally, they are currently the Chief Executive Officer at Syrup Tech, an AI-powered predictive software venture for inventory excellence in commerce.

James Theuerkauf has a diverse educational background. James holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, and Statistics from UCL, and has completed study abroad programs in Statistics, Philosophy, Government at Harvard University, and Law and International Relations at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. James also attended The German School of Barcelona.
