Ellis Mercer

Ellis Mercer is the Senior Director and Global Data Privacy Officer at Sysco, where they are responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection obligations across European operations. Previously, Ellis served as the Data Protection Officer at Saga plc, implementing General Data Protection Regulation requirements and maintaining compliance measures. They also worked as an Information Access Officer for Kent County Council and as a Data Protection and Freedom of Information Adviser at the BBC, where they provided guidance on data protection issues. Ellis earned a BA in Politics from the University of Leicester.
