Derrick Jamison

Derrick Jamison has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security. Derrick started their career at DISA, where they developed and deployed countermeasures to detect malicious activity targeting the Department of Defense Information Infrastructure. Derrick also led the configuration management efforts for intrusion detection sensors deployed worldwide.

After their time at DISA, Jamison worked as a Senior Network Security Specialist at CSC, where they supported the FAA in developing and deploying a CSIRC. Derrick then joined Titan Corporation as the Director of Managed Security Services, where they played a key role in defining and expanding the company's managed security service offerings.

Jamison later worked at RL Phillips, serving as a Senior Security Engineer and Shift Lead for the Intrusion Detection and Analysis Cell at the FBI ESOC. Derrick also worked at NetSec as a Security Professional, focusing on intrusion detection and incident response activities.

At Booz Allen Hamilton, Jamison served as an Associate and Deputy Program Manager for the Cyber Security Revitalization Program. Derrick supported various Government Departments and Agencies in this role.

Currently, Jamison is a Principal Cyber Security Consultant and Vice President at Systegra, Inc. Derrick aids clients in achieving their information security goals through a range of services, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.

Derrick Jamison attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2011 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cybersecurity. In terms of additional certifications, they achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in March 2007. Derrick also obtained various certifications from GIAC, including the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) in June 2013, the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) in May 2013, the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) in April 2013, the GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN) in April 2013, the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) in March 2013, the GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) in February 2013, and the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) in November 2012.
