Michele Cancilla

Michele Cancilla is an AI & Computer Vision Engineer at System Ceramics since September 2021, previously serving as a Research Fellow at AImageLab within Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia from June 2017 to September 2021. Responsibilities included the implementation of a C++ computer vision library for the DeepHealth H2020 European project and the development of neural networks for various medical imaging tasks such as segmentation and classification of skin lesions and pneumothorax, along with segmenting multiple sclerosis lesion volumes. Michele Cancilla holds a Laurea triennale in Ingegneria informatica (2011-2014), a Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria informatica (2014-2017), and completed the Esame di Stato for engineering practice certification.
