Mehdi Jamei

Mehdi Jamei has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Mehdi is currently working at System Inc. as the Director of Artificial Intelligence, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Data Scientist at System Inc. from November 2018 to February 2022.

In addition to their roles at System Inc., Mehdi has also been involved in various other organizations. Mehdi was a Council Member at NationSwell starting in April 2018. Mehdi founded Beacon Labs and served as the Executive Director from June 2018 to December 2018.

Before their time at System Inc. and other organizations, Mehdi gained experience at Bayes Impact. Mehdi held multiple positions at Bayes Impact, including Executive Director from June 2017 to June 2018, Technology Lead from January 2017 to May 2017, and Data Scientist and Project Lead from February 2015 to May 2017.

Mehdi's educational background includes being a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley. Mehdi conducted research from September 2007 to March 2015 and served as a Graduate Student Instructor from September 2014 to December 2014. Mehdi completed their graduate studies at UC Berkeley, where they were a Graduate Student from an unspecified start date to 2013.

Mehdi Jamei obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Tehran in the year 2004. Following that, they pursued higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Master's degree in Physics from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, Mehdi continued their studies at the University of California, Berkeley and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, specializing in Physical Electronics, from 2007 to 2014.
