John Murphy is SEACORP’s Vice President of Electronic Warfare (EW) Solutions, with over 32 years’ experience in all phases of the software/system engineering process. Mr. Murphy has been with SEACORP since 1996 and currently over sees SEACORP’s EW, Surface/Undersea Technical Integration and Systems Assembly, and Integration and Platform Installation business areas.
Mr. Murphy has extensive experience in all phases of the software engineering process with additional expertise in systems engineering. John is a seasoned veteran developing and reviewing performance specifications, plans (software development/CM/QA/risk mitigation), requirements documents, design documents, and test procedures. He has developed many Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS), Software Design Documents (SDD), Software Test Plans/Descriptions (STP/STD), and Software Version Descriptions (SVD) for numerous EW software projects for various Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Code 34 projects, The Office of Naval Research (ONR), Unmanned Maritime Systems (PMS 406), Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and The Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). His broad involvement includes engineering and technical support for many projects including Rough Squid / Ghost Rider and Spectrum Publisher (GRASP), NAVAIR Finder, Rough Casper, SubSTAR, Passive Over the horizon Intercept System (POIS), Black Poseidon, Untethered Goat, Sauron, SubPCAP, Mission Configurable Mast (MCM), Multi-Function Modular Mast (MMM), Radiant Valkyrie Lite (RVL), and Automatic Direction Finding (ADF). In addition, John also has extensive experience with network communications and protocols.
