Tariq Mustafa

Tariq Mustafa has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on data analytics and delivery of business intelligence (BI) projects. Tariq currently holds the role of Vice President of Data Analytics at Systems Limited, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at ZainTech as a Service Delivery Manager from 2021 to 2023, where they handled the delivery of BI projects for various customers and contributed to innovation proof of concepts in data platforms. From 2008 to 2021, Tariq held multiple roles at Zain, including BI Manager and IT Project Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for functions such as big data, data governance, and data science, as well as implementing Oracle ERP across African and Middle Eastern operations. Before Zain, Tariq worked as an Applications Consultant at International Turnkey Systems in Dubai from 2002 to 2007. Tariq also gained experience as an ERP & BI Manager at Wateen Telecom in 2007 and as an Application Consultant at Gulf Computers in Dubai from 2001 to 2002. Tariq started their career as an Application Consultant at Ora-Tech Systems (Private) Limited in 1998.

Tariq Mustafa completed their BSc Hons in Physics from Karachi University from 1989-1995. Prior to that, they obtained their High School degree in Pre Engineering from Govt College for Men Karachi from 1987-1989. Additionally, Tariq has obtained several certifications including "Artificial Intelligence for Project Managers" from LinkedIn in 2019, "Agile PM Practitioner" and "Agile Project Management Practitioner" from APMG International in 2016, and an "edX Honor Code Certificate for Tackling the Challenges of Big Data" from edX in 2015.
