Timur Kochiev

Timur Kochiev has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Timur began their career at Samsung Electro-Mechanics, where they worked as a Sr. Research Engineer, focusing on the development of MIMO-OFDM wireless modem solutions. Timur then moved on to MobileNet Services, Inc., where they worked as an RF Engineer, specializing in UMTS optimization for AT&T markets in Ohio.

In 2012, Timur joined Nokia as a Sr. LTE RAN Engineer, contributing to the development and implementation of LTE networks. Most recently, they have been working at T-Mobile as a Principal Systems Architecture Engineer. In this role, they have been involved in various research and development activities related to 5G technology, including feature testing, network strategy development, and trials of innovative solutions such as Massive MIMO and Intelligent RAN Automation. Overall, Timur's work experience demonstrates their expertise in wireless technologies and their contribution to the advancement of telecommunications systems.

Timur Kochiev obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) from 1999 to 2001. Timur also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the same institution, which they earned from 1995 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Timur has obtained several certifications. Timur completed courses such as "Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow," "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow," and "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" from Coursera in 2020. In 2018, they completed the "Machine Learning: Classification" and "Machine Learning: Regression" courses, also from Coursera. Earlier, in 2017, Timur finished the "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" course from Coursera. Timur has also completed the "Complete Python Bootcamp" course from Udemy in 2016 and the "Introduction to Data Science in Python" and "Machine Learning" courses from Coursera in the same year.
