Tom Cygan

Tom Cygan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tom currently works at T2 Biosystems as the Senior Manager of Production Support and NPI, a role they have been in since September 2021. Prior to this, Tom served as the Principal Manufacturing Engineer at T2 Biosystems starting from September 2013.

Before joining T2 Biosystems, Tom worked at Interlace Medical/Hologic as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer/Senior R&D Engineer for Sustaining from July 2009 to September 2013. Tom then moved on to CR Bard - Davol, Inc as a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer from April 2008 to July 2009. During their time at CR Bard, they were involved in ensuring the manufacturability of new products and improving the quality of incoming materials.

Tom also held positions at NDO Surgical as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from November 2005 to March 2008, at MDS Sciex as a Mechanical Engineer from July 2005 to November 2005, and at Applied Biosystems as a Manufacturing Engineer - Mechanical from September 2002 to July 2005. Tom started their career at Tellabs as a Manufacturing Engineer II from June 1999 to June 2002, where they focused on prototype assembly and developing new assembly techniques.

With their extensive experience in production support, manufacturing engineering, and product development, Tom has a strong foundation in ensuring product manufacturability and improving processes.

Tom Cygan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
