Cindy Urena has extensive work experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Cindy started their career at Various Companies and then joined Hotel Connections Inc in 2010. At Hotel Connections, they worked as an Invoicing & Auditing Manager, where they established and managed a team responsible for invoicing, payment processing, collections, and account audits. Cindy also served as the main contact person for the departments managing crew logistics. After working in this role for three years, they transitioned to become a Client Delivery Manager, where they contributed as a project manager for various client initiatives and worked with the implementation team to onboard new clients. In 2019, Cindy joined TA Connections as an Account Director, overseeing contracting between airline clients and hotels and managing a network of $3M in hotel spend per month. Cindy then advanced to the role of Chief Administrative Officer, where they offered end-to-end solutions to airlines to help them manage their day-to-day operations while reducing expenses. Cindy set strategic plans to maximize client savings and collaborated with other teams to meet performance objectives. Cindy also monitored implementation, resources, and associated teams to ensure seamless project transitions. Overall, Cindy has demonstrated their expertise in account management, project management, and team leadership throughout their work experience in the travel and hospitality industry.
Cindy Urena holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida International University, which was completed in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hospitality Management from Monroe College in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Cindy has obtained several certifications, including "Building High-Performance Teams" and "Leveraging Body Language to Communicate as a Female Professional" from LinkedIn, both obtained in 2020. Cindy also holds a Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI), the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (ICHRIE), and STR Global, which was obtained in 2018.
