Cindan Gizzi serves as the Deputy Director at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department since January 2002, with a diverse background in public health management and epidemiology. Previous roles include Interim Director of Health and Director of Assessment, Planning & Development, where Cindan led strategic planning initiatives and performance management. Cindan also has experience as Director at Public Health Centers for Excellence, overseeing community engagement and health assessment projects, and as an Epidemiologist at Sonoma County Department of Health Services, focusing on data management and outbreak investigations. Cindan holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from UCLA and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and English Literature from the University of Southern California.
