Emily Nehser

Emily Nehser is an experienced Environmental Health Specialist II at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, with a focus on the On-site Sewage and Drinking Water Program since April 2016. Responsibilities include reviewing septic designs, conducting field inspections, and responding to public inquiries. Previously, Emily inspected various retail food establishments and holds certifications as a Certified Food Manager and in FDA Standards. Prior experience includes a role as Service Supervisor at Sodexo, overseeing a large team during meal service, and progressive positions at Pacific Lutheran University's Dining & Culinary Services, where skills in customer service, teamwork, and leadership were developed. Emily also served as a Teacher's Assistant in the Department of Natural Sciences at Pacific Lutheran University. Armed with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University, Emily has a solid educational foundation.
