Emily Turk is a Senior Program Analyst at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, leading a team focused on assessment and development while serving as a consultant on ethical community-based participatory practices. Previous experience includes a Graduate Student Consultant role at Hanford Challenge, where a case-study design was developed to address chemical vapor exposure among workers, and research was presented at the APHA Conference. As a Research Assistant at Washington State Department of Health, Emily created a tool for assessing organizational practices related to health equity, also presenting findings at an APHA conference. A background in grant writing and management at the University of Washington Women's Center further complements experience in project management at Boeing and roles in sales and marketing at Tenzing Communications Inc. Emily holds a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Washington and a BA in Medical Anthropology and Global Health with a minor in African Studies.
