Tacoma Public Library
Nikki Anderson-Joy is a costume design professional with a diverse experience in the performing arts sector. Currently serving as a Curiosity Navigator at Tacoma Public Library since March 2023, Nikki previously held the position of Costume Supervisor at LA Opera from April 2021 to December 2022 and worked as a Costume Assistant at San Francisco Opera from September 2016 to April 2021. Additional accomplishments include designing costumes for productions such as "Cinderella" and "Jitney" with the African-American Shakespeare Company and supporting wardrobe efforts at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Nikki has also gained valuable customer service experience through roles at Ticketmaster and Jeremy's Department Store, as well as mentoring fellow students at the Academy of Art University, where Nikki earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Costume Design. The educational journey began at Stadium High School, concluding in 2014 at the Academy of Art University.
