Ryan Martin

Chief Medical Officer at Tactile Orthopaedics

Ryan Martin has a strong background in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Ryan currently works as an orthopedic surgical consultant for the Calgary Wranglers/Flames. Prior to this, they served as an orthopedic trauma and arthroscopy surgeon at the University of Calgary. Ryan also worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Tactile Orthopaedics and as an orthopedic surgeon at Group23 Sports Medicine. In addition, Ryan has served as the team orthopedic surgeon for the Calgary Stampeder Football Club. Ryan completed their fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in orthopedic surgery-traumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Ryan Martin completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa from 1999 to 2003. Following that, they attended the University of Ottawa from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Ryan then pursued a residency program in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Calgary from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they also completed a Trauma Fellowship at Cornell University from 2012 to 2013. In addition, Ryan undertook a Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they briefly studied at the University of Toronto, but no specific degree or field of study information is provided for that period.
