Brad Nielsen

Brad Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brad currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Tactive, a role they began in August 2022. Prior to this, Brad worked at San Diego Gas & Electric as an IT Group Product Manager - HR, Corporate Center, and Enterprise Applications from January 2021 to August 2022. In this role, they led 16 Scrum teams in cloud development and modernized various applications.

Before joining San Diego Gas & Electric, Brad was an IT Manager - HR and Corporate Center at Sempra Energy from July 2019 to January 2021. Brad played a key role in transforming the organization's ways of working by implementing Agile/Scrum methodologies and Azure Cloud technologies.

From January 2010 to July 2019, Brad worked as a Project Manager - Project Engagement Team at San Diego Gas & Electric. In this role, they led an enterprise Agile transformation and spearheaded the development of a Business Process Management platform.

Brad's earlier roles at San Diego Gas & Electric include Principal Strategic Planning Analyst and Supervisor - Work Management Systems, where they successfully led strategic initiatives and provided leadership to cross-functional teams. Brad also served as a Senior Systems Analyst during the early stages of their career.

Brad Nielsen obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration - Information Systems from San Diego State University, from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Management from the same university, from 1995 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained various certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from UC San Diego Extension in February 2017, ITIL Foundation v3 from the Office of Government Commerce in May 2010, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in January 2012, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in December 2012.
