Matteo then pursued further education and from 2008 to 2012, they attended the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Management & Organisations.

In 2013, Matteo Belardi enrolled in an Executive Education Program, with a focus on Technology & Innovation, at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Later that year, they also attended WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Finance, which lasted until 2014.
