Salem Alelyani

Salem Alelyani has extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence. Salem currently serves as the Director of Artificial Intelligence at TAHAKOM since 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at King Khalid University, including Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence from 2018 to 2022, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) from 2018 to 2019, Chief Information Officer (CIO) from 2014 to 2019, Vice Dean - ELearning Deanship from 2013 to 2015, and Deputy CIO from 2014 to 2014. Salem also worked as a Teacher Assistant & Research Assistant at Arizona State University from 2012 to 2013 and as a TA at King Khalid University from 2004 to 2006.

Salem Alelyani obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from King Abdulaziz University from 2000 to 2003. Later, from 2007 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science at DePaul University. Finally, from 2009 to 2013, Salem completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at Arizona State University. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in "AI for Medical Diagnosis" from Coursera in 2020.
