Hamdy Elsayed has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and responsibilities in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Hamdy is currently working as an Associate Medical Director in Clinical Development at Taiho Oncology, Inc. Prior to this, they worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Clinical Project Scientist and Specialist Site Manager. Hamdy also has experience as a Sr. CRA at IQVIA and as a Clinical Research Associate at PRA Health Sciences. Additionally, Hamdy has worked as a Sr. Eligibility Coordinator at Karmanos Cancer Institute and as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Laboratory Manager at West Michigan Regional Cancer and Blood Center. Hamdy began their career as a House Officer/Intern at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University in Egypt. Throughout their career, Hamdy has demonstrated leadership skills, coordinated patient enrollment, conducted clinical studies, managed site activities, and maintained adherence to research protocols. Hamdy has also been involved in phlebotomy, donor assessments, and donor care while working at the American Red Cross.
Hamdy Elsayed completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Research Organization and Management from Drexel University College of Medicine from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ain Shams University between 2001 and 2006. Hamdy had previously studied Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies at Zagazig University from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they completed a PGY-1 program in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Ain Shams University from 2006 to 2007. Hamdy Elsayed holds the certifications of CCRP from SoCRA, obtained in May 2014, and an ECFMG Certificate from ECFMG, obtained in October 2010.
