Ravi Sharan PMP PgMP

Ravi Sharan PMP PgMP began their work experience in 1994 as a Software Engineer and Systems Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services Limited. Ravi then joined iGate Capital, Inc. in 1996, where they started as a software engineer and was later promoted to the role of Project Manager. At iGate Capital, Inc., they oversaw the modernization of core systems for the Water Division of Ashland, Inc.

In 2001, Ravi joined Ashland, Inc. as a Project Manager in the PMO Organization, where they managed a portfolio of projects supporting the Marine Division. Ravi was responsible for developing project charters, documenting business requirements, creating work breakdown structures, establishing timelines, and determining resource requirements and cost estimates. Ravi successfully managed project plans, identified project risks and impacts, and ensured timely and successful project delivery.

In 2009, Ravi joined JTI (Japan Tobacco International) as the Business Applications Manager for USA Markets. In this role, they played a key role in modernizing critical systems, scaling IT operations, and automating business processes to support the rapid business growth of the organization. Ravi defined the technology strategy and roadmap, prioritized projects, and ensured the on-time and within budget delivery of critical solutions.

Most recently, Ravi was with Taiho Oncology, Inc. as the Associate Director of IT Applications. Ravi introduced potential technology solutions to department leaders and process owners to support their strategic plans. Ravi also managed projects and cross-functional teams to introduce new systems or upgrades to existing systems. Ravi executed projects following industry best practices and ensured vendors also followed best practices when working on projects for Taiho.

Throughout their work experience, Ravi has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and technical capabilities, contributing to the successful implementation of various IT projects and initiatives.

Ravi Sharan has a Master of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, completed in 1993. Ravi also holds a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the BIT Mesra Student-Industry Relations Cell, completed in 1992. Ravi has further enhanced their education through numerous management and leadership courses at AMA. In terms of certifications, they obtained their PgMP (Program Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute in October 2017. Additionally, Ravi has an Agile Certified Professional certification from ASPE, and they are also a certified PMP (Project Management Professional) from the Project Management Institute.
