Matthew Hayes

Matthew Hayes has extensive experience in the live event industry, currently serving as Head of Control Engineering and Head of Automation Engineering at TAIT since July 2012. Matthew's role involves leading engineering teams for world-class live event solutions, building on previous experience as UK Controls Team Leader and Automation Control Systems Engineer at Stage Technologies Ltd. Prior to TAIT, Matthew worked as a Lighting Technician at Underbelly Limited and took on various freelance roles across film, events, and theatre. With early career experiences as an Entertainments Technician at THORPE PARK and a Casual Stage Technician at Theatre Royal Bath, Matthew Hayes combines technical expertise in lighting, rigging, and automation with a strong foundation in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath.
