Theeb Alafan

Theeb Alafan has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Theeb began their career in 2010 at the University of Washington, where they worked in the English program. After that, they worked at Eastern Washington University as a Global Ambassador and International Peer Adviser. In 2014, they joined the Saudi eGovernment Program as a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Developer and later became a Business Intelligence Analyst.

In 2018, Theeb joined the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia as the Business Intelligence Unit Leader. Theeb held this position until 2021 when they took on the role of Head of Data and Statistics at the Technology Forsight Center.

In 2022, Theeb became the Data Management Unit Lead at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia. Theeb then moved to the Confidential Government as the Senior Manager of the Data Management Office in 2023. Currently, they are working at Takamol Holding as the Senior Director of the Data Management Department.

Theeb Alafan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia from 2005 to 2009. Theeb then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Eastern Washington University, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Theeb also attended the University of Washington in 2010 but did not obtain a degree. In 2021, they attended Harvard Business School's Executive Leadership Program. Apart from their formal education, Theeb Alafan has obtained several certifications, including Data Governance and Privacy from Informatica, CERTIFIED DATA MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL from Data Management Association International, MINISTER'S LEADERSHIP PROGRAM from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning, ITIL Foundation Level from PeopleCert, Implementing a Data Warehouse using SQL from Koenig & Associates, LLC, Leaders of Change from Total Talent Management, Strategic Management from Adaa gov, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in October 2020.
