Matthew Spencer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the video game industry. Matthew has held various leadership roles in companies such as Take-Two Interactive Software, Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies, Microsoft, and Ingram Micro.

In their role as Vice President EMEA & APAC Sales at Take-Two Interactive Software, Matthew was responsible for designing, forecasting, and executing the international business plan. Matthew led a multinational team to ensure delivery of regional profit and growth objectives.

During their time as Board Director at the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE), Matthew represented Take-Two and actively engaged in dialogue with EU policymakers. Matthew contributed to the development of smart regulations and policies and helped implement Games Sales Data, the first video games chart offering updated sales data.

As Director & Board Member at Ukie - The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment, Matthew championed the interests and needs of the video game industry in the UK. Matthew built strong relationships with parliamentarians and policymakers to ensure industry needs were met through appropriate government support.

At Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies, Matthew served as EMEA Sales Director for their video games division. Matthew coordinated all EMEA video games sales activities and developed partnerships to distribute WBIE titles in non-WBIE territories.

Matthew also has experience at Microsoft, where they were the UK Distribution Manager for their Home & Entertainment Division. Matthew managed a $75 million business across four authorized distributors and was responsible for a channel marketing budget.

Prior to that, they worked at Ingram Micro as the Retail Sales Director for their UK subsidiary, overseeing strategic direction and policy. Matthew had P&L responsibility for the retail Business Unit and achieved significant sales growth and profit targets.

Matthew Spencer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1984 to 1987. Matthew then pursued further education and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Marketing from Alliance Manchester Business School from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google Digital Garage in May 2021.
