Andrea Bertolotti-Ciarlet

Andrea Bertolotti-Ciarlet is an accomplished biopharmaceutical leader with extensive experience in vaccine research and development, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Vaccine Research and Analytics at Takeda since November 2016. Andrea has spearheaded strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and overseeing key performance metrics. Prior roles at Takeda include Senior Director and CMC Program Lead, where significant contributions were made to analytical development and manufacturing processes. Prior to joining Takeda, Andrea held key positions at Biogen Idec and Merck, focusing on bioassays and functional testing for vaccines and therapeutics. Andrea's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from Baylor College of Medicine, along with degrees in Microbiology, Immunology, and Biology.
