Hesham Aboshady

Hesham Aboshady, MD, MPH, currently serves as Vice President and Head of Global Patient Safety Oncology at Takeda since February 2023. Prior to this role, Aboshady was Senior Vice President and Head of Safety & Pharmacovigilance at Dragonfly Therapeutics, Inc. from December 2021 to February 2023. Aboshady's extensive experience in oncology includes positions at Merck, where roles ranged from Associate Vice President of Clinical Safety & Risk Management to Director of Clinical Safety & Risk Management, and at Boehringer Ingelheim as Senior Risk Management Physician. Additional experience includes Associate Director of Risk Management at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Assistant Professor at UMass Medical School. Aboshady began professional training as an Epidemiologist with the Rhode Island Department of Health, complemented by a medical residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University. Aboshady holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Cairo University and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Oklahoma.
