Matsumura Takeshi

Matsumura Takeshi currently serves as the Chairman of the Code Compliance Working Committee at the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) since June 2023, while also leading the International Codes Task Force and representing JPMA on various committees and initiatives. With extensive experience in compliance and risk management, Matsumura holds the position of Senior Director and Chief of Staff at Takeda, overseeing the Japan Pharma Business Unit's ethics and compliance strategies. Prior roles include serving as the Japan Compliance Head at Shire and the Department Head for Integrity & Compliance at Novartis, where significant contributions were made to compliance framework establishment and risk management during company integrations. Matsumura began a career in compliance at Johnson & Johnson, progressing through various managerial roles in compliance and business support across multiple regions in Asia Pacific. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Meiji University.
