Somhrita Dutta

Somhrita Dutta, PhD, serves as the Global Insights Lead at Takeda as of June 2025. Previously, Dutta held the position of Director, Global Portfolio & Project Management at AstraZeneca from March 2023 to February 2025, and worked as Associate Director, Global Competitive Insights & Analytics in Retina at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from December 2020 to March 2023. Prior to that, Dutta was Associate Director at Pointe Advisory, overseeing competitive intelligence programs for rare neuromuscular diseases. Dutta also spent five years at The Beacon Group in various roles, including Vice President and Director, where responsibilities included managing projects for Fortune 500 clients and driving business development. Dutta’s academic background includes a PhD in Neuroscience from Tulane University, complemented by a certificate in Management Essentials from Harvard Business School Online and a BA in Neuroscience from Colorado College.
