Sowmya Rajendra

Sowmya Rajendra is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the medical field. Currently serving as the Medical Director at Takeda since May 2023, Sowmya previously held the same title at Immunic Therapeutics from September 2021 to May 2023. Prior roles include Clinical Research Physician at Eli Lilly and Company and senior resident positions in bariatric surgery, surgical gastroenterology, and general surgery across multiple esteemed institutions. Additionally, Sowmya has a solid educational foundation, holding a Fellow in Gastrointestinal Surgery from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, a Master's in Surgery from J.J.M.
