Xavier Baert

Xavier Baert is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Head Of Quality Assurance and Process Sciences and MQ lead at Takeda since February 2019. With a strong foundation in engineering, Xavier holds a degree in Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain. Prior roles include Project Director at GSK, where Xavier successfully led a strategic project that achieved the first FDA approval for a manufacturing site, and Head of Aseptic Processing at Shire, overseeing the ramp-up of a new filling line. Experience also includes managerial positions at Baxalta and Baxter International Inc., where leadership was demonstrated in aseptic filling operations for human plasma-derived products. Career began at UCB Pharma as a Process Engineer, focusing on process industrialization projects.
