Santiago Lara-Cervantes has a long and varied work experience. Santiago began their career in 2008 as an Apprenti Line Cook at Marcel's French Belgian Restaurant. In 2009, they worked as a Host/To-Go Host at Famous Dave's of America. In 2011, they were a Culinary Intern at J.W. Marriott. In 2013, they were an Athletic Counselor at TIC Summer Camp, where their responsibilities included implementing the sports program, ensuring the TIC philosophy and spirit were maintained, and teaching athletic skills to junior and senior campers. In 2014, they were a Nutrition Intern at the Green Bay Packers. In 2015, they were an Assistant Operations Manager at XSport Fitness. In 2016, they were an Assistant Manager at Julia's Restaurant & Lounge and a Director of Quality and Customer Experience, Director of Training and Development at Chick-fil-A-Franchise. In 2018, they were a Gallery Supervisor at Hyatt Place, where they directed the F&B department and led it to a 12% increase in positive feedback from guests. Finally, in 2021, they are currently a Customer Service Manager at TakeOut7, where they maintain relationships with dealers and restaurants, resolves requests on their online ordering issues, and strives to achieve weekly goals for “Go Lives”.
Santiago Lara-Cervantes obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University between 2010 and 2012. Santiago then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University- Providence between 2010 and 2014. In addition to their degrees, Santiago also obtained certifications from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, Federation of Dining Room Professionals, and National Restaurant Association in 2011 and 2012.
