Hassan Mahbub

Hassan Mahbub is a seasoned fintech leader with extensive experience across various roles in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Fintech at talabat since June 2021, Hassan oversees fintech operations across eight MENA markets. Prior to talabat, Hassan was the Director of Careem Pay at Careem from May 2018 to May 2021, where involvement in the inception of the platform's payments vertical was pivotal in transforming the company into a regional SuperApp. Previous experience includes leading the mobile wallet product at JazzCash as Head of Mobile Wallets, successfully building it to become the largest issuer in the country, and serving in various product management roles at Telenor and Easypaisa. Hassan began the career with positions at PwC, Standard Chartered Bank, and Johnson & Johnson. Educational credentials include executive programs at INSEAD and Lahore University of Management Sciences, along with an exchange program at Schulich School of Business.
