Catherine McGovern currently serves as the Major Sports Events Officer at the Greater London Authority, a position held since June 2024. Prior experience includes working as a Programme Manager at Upskill Me & Talent Spaces from January 2023 to June 2024, where responsibilities involved the successful delivery and evaluation of programmes, along with facilitating workshops and training. Catherine led the Women's Inclusive Network at the City of London Corporation from January 2022 to January 2023 and held the role of Projects Officer (Education, Culture & Skills) from April 2020 to January 2023, contributing to project management and stakeholder engagement. Earlier roles included Business Administrator and Events Assistant, where recognition was received as the City of London Apprentice of the Year 2021 for exceptional contributions. Additional experience includes event assistance at Gartner and Reconnaissance International. Catherine holds an apprenticeship in Business Administration from the City of London Corporation and completed GCSEs at The Compton School.
