Larry Fawell

Larry Fawell is an experienced analytical chemist with a diverse background in laboratory management and spectroscopic consulting. Currently serving as an Analytical Chemist at Talison Lithium Pty Ltd since August 2022 and as a Shift Lab Supervisor at FQM RNO since February 2020, Larry has also been self-employed as a Consultant Spectroscopist since January 2018. Previous roles include Senior Chemist at Koolyanobbing Iron Ore, Acting Shift Supervisor at First Quantum Minerals LTD, and various positions at Iluka Resources, Independence Group Jaguar Mine, and Midwest Vanadium Pty Ltd, where responsibilities encompassed lab management, troubleshooting, and advising on chemical processes. Larry began a career path in analytical chemistry with positions at ALS Environmental and Analytical Reference Laboratories WA. Larry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Metallurgy from Curtin University, completed in 1980, and has foundational education from Governor Stirling High School.
