Julia Shaw

Cofounder at Spot

Julia Shaw has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Julia began as a Lecturer at the University of Waterloo, then moved to the University of British Columbia in 2009 in the same role. In 2013, they became a Lecturer in Forensic Psychology at the University of Bedfordshire. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University. In 2017, they became a Cofounder of Spot: Report workplace harassment & discrimination, a Cognitive Interview bot that allows people to create a record of inappropriate workplace behaviour while it is fresh in their minds.

Julia Shaw obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Psychology from The University of British Columbia between 2009 and 2013. Julia then obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Psychology and Law from Maastricht University between 2007 and 2008. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University between 2004 and 2007. Most recently, Julia Shaw obtained their Master's degree in Queer Julia'story from Goldsmiths, University of London between 2020 and 2021.
