Douglas Brewer

Mr. Doug Brewer currently serves as President & Chief Executive Officer at Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, Alabama. Previously, Doug served as Chief Administrative officer at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center and Chief Operating Officer for Tenet Healthcare’s Atlanta Medical Center, a teaching hospital and a level-one trauma center. Most recently, Doug served as senior vice president and corporate CDO for Select Medical where he drove strategic growth through new joint venture partnerships, acquisitions and other business relationships. Prior to this, Doug was President and CEO at SSM Rehabilitation Network in St. Louis, Mo. The Network provided rehabilitative care in the region at over 70 in and out patient locations to individuals with brain injury, as well as other neurological and physical injuries/illnesses.

Earlier in his career, Brewer worked for Tenet Healthcare as Chief Development Officer at Sierra Providence Health Network and Continental Medical Systems, Inc. These roles included extensive work in facilities and health planning responsibilities that resulted in the development and construction of over 15 new hospitals located throughout the country. He holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and a MBA from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.

Doug, currently, is Chairman and serves on the National Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of America located in Washington DC. He, also, serves on the Alabama Hospital Association’s State Medicaid Advisory Board, the Executive Board of the Greater Talladega Chamber of Commerce and the Board of the Historic Ritz Theater.
