Liam Rooney

Liam Rooney is a seasoned sports journalist currently serving as the FSU Athletics Beat Reporter for Tallahassee Democrat since April 2023, where responsibilities include covering FSU Athletics and local high school sports. Previously, Rooney was the Sports Director at PantherNOW from February 2021 to December 2022, overseeing content creation and editing, and served as a Staff Writer covering FIU men's soccer and other sports. Additional experience includes a journalist role at The Palm Beach Post, and an Associate Editor position at South Florida Media Network, focusing on content management and social media. Rooney also held the position of Sports Programs Supervisor at Florida International University and worked as a Certified Trainer at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Rooney earned a degree from Florida International University, completing studies in December 2022.
