POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Technical Lead

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Reports to: Delivery Lead

Our Technical Leads form part of the software leadership team that leverages their experience and technical knowledge to help achieve business and technology outcomes.

Responsibilities:

·       Accountability for technical delivery of the services of the scrum team.

·       Provide technical direction, training and coaching to other members of the team.

·       Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.

·       Facilitating of work between the teams.

·       Assess risk proactively, identify mitigations and maintain delivery trajectory.

·       Work with the core product team to create new product components and improvements.

·       Engage in code-reviews, planning, design and technical discussions.

·       Work in an agile development environment with a delivery focus to achieve team goals within sprint timeframes.

·       Participate in tech lead forums with other Technical Leads to solve complex problems which cross domains.

·       Work with other Technical Leads to refine on development standards.

·       Work with solutions architects to shape the direction services of the software platform.

·       Follow and act on directions of technical leadership or line manager.

·       Use learning platforms and resources available to further develop professional and technical skillset.

·       Participant in forums/retros to improve on development and other ways of working.

·       Work closely with the stakeholders and clients with project planning, meetings, and status reporting.

Experience and Competencies Required:

·       Fully versed in tracking and controlling software relating to changes to your source code.

·       Experience in delivering end-to-end outcomes and able to articulate these into meaningful business outcomes.

·       Apply critical thinking, problem solving and team collaboration.

·       Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.

·       Proactive nature and raising concerns early with the project team and management.

Qualifications Required:

·       Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science / Software Engineering beneficial.

·       Azure / AWS certification beneficial.

Addendum:

Technical Experience Required:

·       Demonstrated experience across both web and application development with a focus on the below technologies and frameworks.

o   Azure

o   .NET, C#, SQL

o   React JS, TypeScript

o   Entity Framework/Dapper

·       Proven history across the Microsoft stack and cloud related technologies.

·       Other custom SaaS / multitenant / enterprise type software.

·       Distributed services using orchestration / events / choreography desirable.

·       Experience in Jira, Confluence, Github, Azure Devops and modern dev tooling is desirable.

·       Development of secure code using both frontend and backend technologies.

·       Systems Integrations using Rest APIs and webhooks.

·       Develop within a cloud-based environment using Microsoft stack.

·       Screen / user function design for energy market UI.
