Barbara Emond

Vice President Strategy at Talon Aerolytics

Barbara Emond has over 35 years of experience in the engineering and technology industry. Barbara began their career in 1984 as an Electrical Engineer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, where they evaluated, repaired, documented and tracked various types of electronic communication equipment aboard submarines. In 1987, they moved to Raytheon as an Electromagnetics (EMC) Manager and Senior Engineer, where they managed EMC teams and budgets for six major domestic and international programs. In 1996, they joined American Science & Engineering, Inc. as a Technical Marketing Manager and Senior Program Manager. Barbara was responsible for technical product definition, direct customer relationships and program management for domestic and international X-ray detection products. In 1999, Barbara joined Motorola Solutions as a Principal Program Manager. Barbara then moved to PacketVideo Corporation in 2000, where they served as Executive Vice President of Engineering, Customer Products. Barbara was a member of PacketVideo's Executive Team responsible for Enterprise Products, Business and Strategy. From 2013-2019, Barbara was President of NxTec Corporation. Most recently, they have been Vice President of Strategy at Talon since 2019.

Barbara Emond received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Vermont in 1984. Barbara then went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 1990 to 1995.
