Sebastián Páez

Sebastian Paez is a Data Scientist at Talus Bio since November 2022 and has served as a recurrent reviewer for the Journal of Open Source Software since January 2020, focusing on software papers related to mass spectrometry data processing. As a PhD candidate at Purdue University from August 2016 to August 2022, Sebastian Paez developed custom analysis workflows and an R package for RNA sequencing data analysis, contributing to cancer research and benign prostatic hyperplasia studies. Prior experience includes a role as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant at the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research and as an Undergraduate Visiting Scholar, where Sebastian Paez assisted in kinase substrate identification and mass spectrometry projects related to Alzheimer's disease and cancer.
