Pierson Stoecklein is a seasoned legal and policy expert with extensive experience in regulatory advocacy and counsel across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel for Global Regulatory Advocacy at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Pierson leads initiatives on critical issues such as artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and sustainability. Prior roles include Executive Director of the Microgrid Resources Coalition, Partner at Pioneer Public Affairs, and Head of Policy & Regulatory Counsel at Mainspring Energy, where leadership in policy and regulatory activities significantly advanced clean energy technologies. Pierson's career also includes advisory positions and legal roles at Filld, Kirkland & Ellis, Steptoe & Johnson LLP, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, alongside legislative experience as an Energy Fellow for Senator Ron Wyden. Pierson holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School, a BA in Environmental Ethics & Public Policy from Colgate University, and has engaged in substantial legislative and compliance matters throughout a diverse career in energy and environmental policy.
