Senior Electrical Engineer at Talyn Air

Kurt Sanner has extensive experience in electrical engineering and aerospace technology. Kurt is currently working as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Talyn Air, where they are involved in research and development of all-electric large unmanned aerial vehicles. Their responsibilities include designing the power distribution system, developing wire harness integration with the airframe, and designing the ground control station. Prior to this, Kurt worked as an Electrical Project Engineer at Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc., where they designed circuitry for body-worn dosimeters and improved acoustic sensors. Before that, they co-founded T-Rex Tracking Corp and served as the Director of Engineering, leading the development of a portable auto tracking antenna platform for UAVs. Kurt also has experience working at NASA as a Lead Electrical Engineer, where they contributed to flight test development activities and designed RF circulator circuits. Kurt began their career as a control systems engineer at Parsons Energy and Chemical, designing control systems for power plants, and served in the US Navy as a UAS Navy Nuclear qualified electricians mate, managing power distribution on a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.

Kurt Sanner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University in 2001.
