Eric Funk

Eric Funk serves as the Head of Software Engineering for the Content Management Platform at Tamedia since November 2021. Previous roles include Technical Team Lead at Open Web Technology, where key projects involved developing a digital signature validator for the Swiss government and custom solutions for healthcare. As Director of Managed Services at Nine Internet Solutions, Eric led multiple Scrum teams and provided continuous support for managed services. At Digitec Galaxus AG, Eric directed a team in enhancing e-commerce search functionalities, successfully migrating the system to a cloud-based microservices architecture. Earlier positions included Head of Development at joiz Global, where Eric coordinated interdisciplinary teams on community marketing platforms, and similar leadership roles at SWISS TXT, Kerb, BBDO InterOne, and Kabel New Media AG. Eric holds a Dipl Ing (FH) in Media Engineering from Hochschule Mittweida, earned in 2000.
